Volunteering in Groups & Activities at WRBC gives you the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. From exploring faith in Alpha and Discipleship, to building friendships in the Hong Kong Chatroom, sharing football and fellowship through Hucknall Engage United FC and Momentum, enjoying conversation at Natter, supporting wellbeing at Renew 34, or fostering creativity in Stitched Up – there’s a place for you to contribute your time and talents.
Alpha
Alpha and Discipleship courses provide a welcoming space for anyone curious about Christianity or wanting to deepen their relationship with Jesus. Through open conversations, shared meals, and supportive community, lives are being changed as people find faith, confidence, and purpose.

Hong Kong Chat Room
The Hong Kong Chatroom provides a place of friendship, understanding, and shared culture for those who’ve moved to the UK from Hong Kong. It’s a space where people can connect in their own language, support one another through life’s challenges, and find a sense of belonging within a caring church family.
Welcome and connect – Help create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
Offer practical support – Assist with conversations, translation, or simple advice about life in the UK.

Hucknall Engage United FC
Hucknall Engage United FC brings men together from across the community to enjoy competitive football in a supportive, faith-filled environment. The club provides opportunities for teamwork, discipleship, and outreach — creating real connections on and off the pitch while sharing the hope of Jesus in everyday life.
Support the team – Encourage players, help with matchday setup, or assist with refreshments.
Build relationships – Get alongside players and supporters, showing care and friendship.
Live out faith – Be a positive example of teamwork, integrity, and Christian love.

Momentum creates a supportive environment where men build friendships, deepen their faith, and encourage each other through activities, fellowship, and discipleship.

Natter is a friendly space where people can meet, chat, and build relationships. Volunteers help create a welcoming environment, making it easy for everyone to connect and enjoy fellowship.

Renew
Renew 34 is a place where everyone is valued, supported, and encouraged, no matter their faith or mental wellbeing. Volunteers help host, listen, and guide guests, creating a community where people can connect, learn, and encounter God’s love.

- Encourage participation – Help people engage in activities, hobbies, or discussions.

Stitched Up
Stitched Up is a welcoming space where people can learn, practice, or share skills in knitting, crochet, and patchwork. Volunteers help guests feel included, support creative activities, and foster connection over conversation and refreshments.
